Meet Christian

Candidate for El Paso County Commissioner, District 5

Secretary, YDA Asian Pacific Islander Caucus

Organizer. Activist. Proudly rooted in Colorado.

Christian Seale has been organizing and advocating for working families right here in El Paso County and now he’s running to bring that same energy to county government. He’s a bold, grassroots leader with deep local ties and a clear vision for El Paso County’s Future.

Overcoming early childhood neglect and the foster care system instilled in Christian a profound empathy for vulnerable and hardworking people. Given a strong foundation by a loving foster family, he believes every resident deserves that same opportunity to stabilize and thrive. Making Colorado Springs his home for his entire adult life, Christian has faced the realities of poverty and the affordability crisis personally. He is ready to bring this lived experience to the El Paso County Board of Commissioners. Christian will be a steadfast champion for everyday residents, ensuring that a grounded, working-class perspective is at the center of every decision the county makes.

While still early, Christian’s political career and community leadership have been defined by vision and action. After working for various non-profit organizations, Christian went on to re-establish The El Paso County Young Democrats and help quickly grow the organization into one of the biggest groups of young organizers and activists within the Colorado Democratic Party. During his leadership in 2023, The El Paso County Democratic Party awarded Christian with the Party’s Rising Star Award. Shortly after, he helped the county party launch the Latino Outreach Alliance, a Latino focused advocacy and outreach organization within the local Democratic party structure. While working to establish and nurture the party’s grassroots connections to our communities, he was also traveling across the state to recruit fellow young organizers and help them establish their own local chapters of The Colorado Young Democrats.

Having been raised in poverty and later aging out of Arizona’s foster care system, Christian entered the workforce focused on the economy and motivated to make a difference in the world around him. Early into his adult life, he made El Paso County his home and began working in the non-profit sector. While doing that work, Christian soon realized that Colorado Springs needed progressive voices and leaders to step up and volunteer to fight for our residents and communities on a local level. So that is exactly what he did: helping to organize marginalized groups within our communities, fighting against bad referendums and bills at across all levels of government, and ensuring that everyone’s voice in El Paso was heard.
