Why are you running for office?
I'm running for office to ensure that every Coloradan, regardless of background, has the opportunity to thrive. My campaign is grounded in a commitment to equity, public service, and practical solutions that put people first. I'm focused on strengthening public education, expanding access to healthcare and housing, and creating safer, more inclusive communities. One of my top priorities is ending child poverty in Colorado by addressing its root causes, including economic instability, limited access to essential resources, and long-standing structural barriers.
-
How will your policies impact everyday Coloradans?
My policies focus on making life more affordable and improving public safety for everyday Coloradans. I’m committed to expanding child care assistance, increasing affordable housing, raising the minimum wage, and investing in mental health and prevention programs. I also support fare-free transit for students and workers and paid childcare for low-income families. These efforts aim to create a community where everyone can thrive without constant financial stress.
-
In what ways can supporters contribute to your campaign?
Supporters can contribute to my campaign in many meaningful ways. Whether it’s volunteering your time, attending events, helping spread the word in your community, or making a financial donation, every effort helps us build momentum. I encourage everyone who believes in this vision to get involved and make a difference together.

What qualifications and experience do you bring to this role?
I bring a deep commitment to community and demonstrated grassroots leadership. Growing up with personal challenges, including time in foster care, has given me a unique perspective on the struggles many face. Since moving to Colorado Springs, I have worked in the nonprofit sector and been active in Democratic organizing. I re-established the El Paso County Young Democrats, growing it into one of Colorado’s largest youth-led groups, and co-founded the Latino Outreach Alliance to better serve our diverse communities. In 2023, I was honored with the party’s Rising Star Award for my dedication to working families and progressive causes. These experiences have equipped me to effectively represent and advocate for the people of El Paso County.

How do you plan to work across party lines?
I believe meaningful progress requires collaboration beyond party labels and partisan divides. My approach is to listen carefully and respectfully to diverse perspectives, seeking common ground where we can work together to achieve practical solutions. Issues like improving public safety, expanding access to quality education, and supporting working families affect us all, regardless of political affiliation. By focusing on shared goals and maintaining an open, solutions-oriented mindset, I am committed to building strong relationships across the aisle. Together, we can create lasting, positive change for our community.

How do you plan to engage with constituents if elected?
If elected, I plan to maintain open and consistent communication with constituents to ensure their voices guide my work. I will hold regular town halls, listening sessions, and community meetings across the district to engage directly with residents and understand their concerns and priorities. I also intend to be highly accessible through multiple channels such as email, social media, phone, and an approachable office staff so that people can easily reach out at any time. Beyond formal events, I will attend local gatherings, collaborate with community organizations, and prioritize transparency in all decision-making processes. My commitment is to be a responsive and accountable representative who actively listens and works collaboratively to address the needs of every constituent.
